Hi. I'm Dave. I have tinkered all my life. Even before I had the skills to build anything, I would dump out the Folger's Coffee can of spare nuts and bolts, just to see what fit together. Or explore Grandpa's carefully-organized parts bins in the basement. Even a broken appliance couldn't escape the house until it was thoroughly dismantled. It held secrets I needed to know!
When It was time to make a living, I "fell into" cabinet making, mostly kitchens at first. That evolved into other projects over the years, like entertainment centers, bars, t.v. cabinets, etc. After 30 years, I got quite good at it, if not just a little bored. To liven things up a bit, I started adding moving parts and hidden panels and switches to my projects. Now virtually everything I do has some sort of gadgetry built in. Who says furniture can't also be fun!
